- Hydroforming Process: We expand the tube with high-pressure water, which creates even, strong corrugations without twisting the material. This ensures durability and flexibility.
- Crimp Forming Process: Using a crimping technique, we compress the tube from both directions, forming precise corrugations that boost the hose’s performance and lifespan.
Annular Stainless Corrugated Hoses
The production of corrugated annular metal hoses at QualityFlex starts with stainless steel strips, rolled into thin-walled tubes with strong seam welds. Corrugations are then formed to ensure flexibility and structural integrity.
- Type 321 Stainless Steel: The industry standard, a chromium-nickel steel stabilized to resist corrosion between grains. It works well in temperatures from 1500°F down to cryogenic levels of -320°F.
- Type 316 Stainless Steel: This steel, with added molybdenum, offers better corrosion resistance. It is suitable for use in temperatures from 900°F to cryogenic levels of -320°F.
